Fika
3D modeling & illustration
OVERVIEW
A COLLECTION OF EVERYTHING THAT GOES WITH FIKA
Fika is the Swedish word for hanging out, enjoying a relaxing break with the consumption of tea or coffee and something edible like a sandwhich or something sweet. The project Fika is all about modeling, texturing and light 3D objects to look as realistic as possible. More specific objects that can be associated with the word fika.
Project scope:
- 3D modeling
- 3D illustration
DONUTS
THE FAMOUS DONUT
In the 3D world everybody knows about the donut, it's everybodies first introduction to 3D. It was not my first project but as it's something everyone does I felt I had to do it as well.
THE KETTLE
FROM REAL TO DIGITAL
The Kettle is made after my favourite kettle, Plissé from Alessi, designed by Michele De Lucchi. This was a exercise in taking something that exist in real life and get the measurement right to make a digital 3D replica.
CUPCAKE
THE CHERRIE ON TOP
To make a 3D object look real can be really difficult. It's about getting the proportions right, fooling the eye with the right texture and setting up the suitable light. When it comes to edibles I would say the cherrie on top is to mess it up a bit. Baking is messy and nothing comes out 100 percent the same, so it shouldn't in 3D either.
